Privacy Policy

Cloud Security Compare (cloudsecuritycompare.com) is published by Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. ("we"). We built the site so that you can read every comparison and use the score calculator and the compare tool without telling us who you are. This policy explains the small amount of personal data the site does handle.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Alegria Media and Consulting Ltd. is the controller of personal data processed through this site. The site has no user accounts, no payments and no comments. To reach us about privacy, use the contact form and choose "Privacy request".
2. What we collect
We checked the site's code before writing this list. The site handles only the following:
- Contact form messages. If you send a message, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. For a copyright notice we also receive the details the notice requires, such as the work concerned, the address of the material and your electronic signature.
- Technical data logged by our hosting provider. Like any web server, the infrastructure that serves the site automatically records your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of each request. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and investigate faults.
- Web fonts from Google Fonts. Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When the fonts load, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as with any request your browser makes to a third-party server.
The calculator and compare tools keep your choices in the page address only, so you can share a link. They do not store anything in cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage, and they send nothing to us. The site loads no analytics, advertising or social media scripts. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the UK GDPR, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests for operating and securing the site, loading its fonts, and reading and answering the messages you send us.
- Legal obligation where we must keep or disclose information under applicable law, for example when handling a copyright notice.
- Consent where the law requires it. If we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
5. International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country with appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact messages: as long as we need them to handle your request, then deleted.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, then deleted or overwritten.
7. Your rights
EU and UK. You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work.
California. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you can ask to know what personal information we hold about you, to delete it and to correct it. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do neither. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
You also have rights under other privacy laws that apply to you.
To use any of these rights, send a message through the contact form and choose "Privacy request". We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours.
8. Children
The site is written for people evaluating business security software and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
9. Changes to this policy
If the site starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top. For questions, use the contact form.
